# How to connect a MIDI keyboard?

You can connect a MIDI keyboard directly via USB of your desktop device. The main step is to install the necessary drivers for that keyboard on your device.

A MIDI keyboard can also be connected through an audio interface.

To test if the keyboard connection is working properly, you can use the website: [**https://hardwaretester.com/midi**](https://hardwaretester.com/midi).

If the keyboard does not function correctly on the site, there might be a connection issue with your device, such as missing drivers.

**What to do if the website doesn't detect the keyboard:**

1. **Check the cable and USB port:** Try using a different cable or USB port.
2. **Install drivers:** Visit the website of your MIDI keyboard's manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your operating system.
3. **Restart your computer** after installing the drivers.

Once the keyboard starts working on the test website, it should also be recognized in the MOOZ app.

After connecting the MIDI keyboard to your computer, select **"Connect MIDI keyboard"** in the virtual piano interface.
