Metronome

This is a rhythmic "beacon" that you can use directly in our application, with no need for any third-party apps.

Where is it located?

It is located on the music panel, to the right of the player. For comfortable use, expand the metronome fully by clicking on the symbol.

How to use the metronome

1. Turning On and Off:

  • Find the button with the metronome icon.
  • Click it once – the metronome will start ticking the beat.
  • To turn it off, click the same button again.

2. Achieving Synchronous Playback

The Sync Mode is designed for the perfect synchronization of backing track, metronome, or accompaniment playback between teacher and student, allowing them to play together without delays.

How to achieve synchronous playback?

The application provides two separate modes for this: "Teacher" and "Student". For the function to work successfully, the correct mode must be selected on both sides.

Switching the mode is done using key combinations: Alt + S (Student) and Alt + T (Teacher).

Purpose of the modes:

  • "Student" Mode: In this mode, you hear the student's sound synchronized with the music track. This is ideal for evaluating and correcting their playing to the accompaniment.
  • "Teacher" Mode: In this mode, the student hears your sound (voice or instrument) synchronized with the track. This mode is optimal for visually demonstrating examples and techniques.

3. Adjustments During Operation:

You do not need to stop the metronome to change parameters. Change settings right during its operation:

  • Tempo: Move the "Tempo" slider to the right (to make it faster) or to the left (to make it slower). This changes the number of beats per minute (BPM).
  • Time Signature: Move the "Beat" slider to select the desired number of beats per measure.
  • Volume: Use the "Volume" slider to adjust the volume of the metronome only for yourself. You control your own volume, not the student's.

Important Tips:

  • Operates Independently: The metronome lives its own life and does not depend on the music in the player. It can be used on its own or together with a song.

I can't hear the student in sync with the metronome.

Please make sure the "Student" mode is enabled. If the issue persists, ask your student to recalibrate their microphone by following the video guide. This should allow you to hear the student in sync with the metronome.

The metronome volume is too low.

If the metronome is not loud enough, please check the volume settings within the MOOZ app**:**

  1. During a lesson, locate the metronome panel.
  2. Below the metronome controls, you will see a volume bar.
  3. Move the slider to the right to increase the metronome volume to a comfortable level.

Important: This setting adjusts the volume of the metronome only on your side**,** the student also needs to adjust the volume on their side.

If the metronome volume is set to maximum but the sound is still quiet, also check the overall volume of your computer's speakers or headphones.
