Audio Player
MOOZ Built-in Player
The MOOZ built-in player is a special tool for joint work between teacher and student with music. Its main task is to perfectly synchronize sound (yours or the student's) with the audio track. Now you can listen to, analyze, and study material together, in one rhythm, without switching between programs.
Where is it located?
The player is located on the music panel. You can open it in compact view or expand it fully for convenience.
How to use the MOOZ player
1. Uploading and Playback:
- Find and click the "Select Audio File" button located on the audio player itself.
- Your personal Storage (the "Your Files" section) will open.
- Choose an uploaded file or upload a new one directly during the lesson.
- After selecting a track, click the "Play" button – the track will start playing.
2. Achieving Synchronous Playback
The Sync Mode is designed for the perfect synchronization of backing track, metronome, or accompaniment playback between teacher and student, allowing them to play together without delays.
How to achieve synchronous playback?
The application provides two separate modes for this: "Teacher" and "Student". For the function to work successfully, the correct mode must be selected on both sides.
In addition to the main method, you can use hotkeys to switch: Set up your camera and microphone in the preview: Alt + S (Student) and Alt + T (Teacher).
Purpose of the modes:
- "Student" Mode: In this mode, you hear the student's sound synchronized with the music track. This is ideal for evaluating and correcting their playing to the accompaniment.
- "Teacher" Mode: In this mode, the student hears your sound (voice or instrument) synchronized with the track. This mode is optimal for visually demonstrating examples and techniques.
3. Adjustments During Playback:
You do not need to stop the music to change parameters. Change settings right during playback:
- Tempo: Speed up or slow down the track playback speed using the corresponding slider.
- Key/Pitch: Raise or lower the pitch of the audio track using the dedicated control.
- Volume: Change the volume of the playback track; the volume change will apply only on your side.
For comfort, you can use hotkeys:
- "Select audio file" button:
Ctrl + Alt + F - Play/Stop audio file button:
Alt + P - Rewind audio file forward/backward:
Alt + (Right/Left Arrow) - Switch Teacher/Student mode:
Alt + S/Alt + T - Adjust sliders with arrow keys (if the slider is first clicked with the mouse): Volume, Tempo, Beat
- Decrease tempo:
Alt + Q - Increase tempo:
Alt + W - Decrease key/pitch:
Ctrl + Alt + Q - Increase key/pitch:
Ctrl + Alt + W
If using hotkeys is inconvenient for you, this feature can be completely disabled in the settings menu.
Important Tips:
- Shared Control: Both teacher and student can control the player (pause, tempo, key).
- Control Restriction: If you need to temporarily restrict control from the student's side, simply activate Kids Mode.
What files can be uploaded to the player?
You can upload audio files to play through the audio player in the following formats: MP3, MPEG, OGG, WAV, M4A, AAC.
I can't hear the student in sync with the player.
Please make sure the "Student" mode is enabled. If the issue persists, ask your student to recalibrate their microphone by following the video guide. This should allow you to hear the student in sync with the player.
The audio file is taking a long time to load for the student.
The issue might be related to your internet speed or your student's internet speed.
You and the student can check internet connection speed at speedtest.net.
The recommended speed for stable app performance is upload/download of at least 25 Mbps and a ping no higher than 100 ms.
