Lesson Recording

This feature allows you to record the entire lesson as a video and save it to your computer. You decide when to start and stop the recording, and you can also choose the video quality.

Where is it located?

This function is located on the bottom toolbar, in the center.

How to start recording a lesson?

  1. In the bottom panel of the lesson window, find and click the "Record" button.
  2. A window will appear on the screen with video quality options:
    • HD (Standard): Good quality, the file will take up less space.
    • Full HD (High): Very clear picture, but the file will be larger.
  3. Select the desired quality and click the "Continue" button.
  4. The recording will start automatically.

Where is the lesson recording saved?

To save a lesson recording, you must stop the recording before exiting the application, choose a save path for the file, and wait for it to fully save. Otherwise, the file will be lost.

If you did manage to save the recording:

  1. Check the standard folders:
    • Windows: C:\Users\[Your_Name]\Videos\ or C:\Users\[Your_Name]\Downloads\
    • Mac: /Users/[Your_Name]/Movies/ or /Users/[Your_Name]/Downloads/
  2. Use your computer's search:
    • Open Windows Search (Win + S) or Spotlight on Mac (Cmd + Space).
    • Enter the keyword MOOZ.
  3. Check your save history:
    • Open any file manager.
    • Look in the "Recent Documents" or "Downloads" folder.
    • Sort the files by "Date Modified".

To avoid this issue in the future:

  1. Create a dedicated folder for lesson recordings.
  2. When saving a recording, choose a clear name that includes the date.
  3. If the saving process is interrupted, the recording cannot be recovered in this case.
  4. The file may also be lost if the recording is very long and there is insufficient free space on your system drive to save it.

Can a student record the lesson?

Student can record the lesson if they are connected from a computer. When the student selects the lesson recording option, a notification will appear on the teacher's side, and the teacher must grant permission to start the recording.

The lesson recording is taking a long time to save.

The prolonged saving time is related to the video conversion process, which depends on your computer's performance.

Solution:

  1. Close all background applications:
    • Browsers with multiple tabs
    • Video/audio editors
    • Games and resource-intensive programs
    • Background downloads
  2. Check system requirements:
    • Minimum: 2-core processor from 2 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10/macOS 11.0+
    • Recommended: 4-core processor from 2 GHz, 8+ GB RAM, SSD storage
    • Ensure sufficient free space on the system drive (at least 10-20% free)
  3. Additional recommendations:
    • Do not use the computer for other tasks during conversion.
    • Do not close the application until saving is fully complete.

Important:

  • The saving process depends primarily on CPU power and storage drive speed.
  • An SSD speeds up saving by 2-3 times compared to an HDD.

If the problem occurs regularly:

  • Use the minimum recording quality in the settings.
  • Consider upgrading your hardware (CPU, SSD, RAM).
  • Free up additional space on the system drive.
